Studio Policies

Basic Academic Term Tuition

The ten month Basic Academic Term begins in late August and ends in June. Lessons are presented in 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions. Young students will start with a 30 minute lesson time and graduate to a longer lesson time at the Studio’s discretion. To be a member of the studio, a commitment to study is required for the full ten months Basic Academic Term. This commitment along with payment of monthly tuition reserves the student’s private lesson time in the studio. Please contact Anne regarding tuition rates.

Tuition is divided into ten equal payments and is due in advance on the first lesson of each month. If the student misses the first lesson of the month, it is expected that the tuition will be either mailed or delivered.
Payments received after the 15th of the month are subject to a late fee of $10.

If it is necessary to withdraw from the studio before the Basic Academic Term is completed, a notice of one month in advance, including payment of tuition, is required. Adjustments to the tuition will not be made for cancelled lessons. In the event of teacher-initiated absences, the lesson will either be rescheduled or pro-rated at the teacher’s discretion.

Summer Session

The tuition for this session is separate from the Basic Academic term and is based on the number of lessons contracted with the teacher. Students are expected to continue their musical growth through practice and lessons in this session as much as possible.

Attendance

  • The rescheduling of every student-initiated canceled lesson is not guaranteed
  • Some missed lessons may be rescheduled at the discretion of the teacher if an opening becomes available in the teaching schedule. Advance notice of at least 48 hours is requested.
  • A Lesson Trade List with names, contact numbers and students’ lesson times will be compiled then emailed only to the students who would like to participate in this option.
  • A Lesson Trade may be made with another student only within the same week of the missed lesson. The parent/student is responsible for contacting another parent/student on the list to make a trade then contacting me at least one day before the lesson change by phone or email. The traded lessons must be the same length.
